2026-2027 Tryout Information:

Tryouts for the 26-27 team will be held the week of June 1-5, 2026. The schedule is as follows:

Monday June 1- Tryout Practice 3:15- 5:00 PM. Location TBA

Coaches will teach 1 short band dance and 1 chant that all candidates will perform for the tryout.

Wednesday June 3- Tryout Practice 3:15- 4:30. Location TBA

Candidates will have time to come in and practice material with music, each other, and coaches.

Thursday June 4- Mock Tryout 3:15- 4:30. Location TBA

Consider this a "practice tryout." Candidates will go through their tryout with their tryout partner in their tryout order. This is done to help candidates feel more confident on the day of tryouts.

Friday June 5- Tryouts 3:15- End. Location TBA

Candidates should be ready to begin tryouts at 3:15. All candidates will stay until dismissed by coaches. This means even after a candidate has completed their tryout, they will still stay until dismissed at the end. Sometimes, judges need to being a candidate back in for a call back, and candidates need to be ready for this.

Tryout Dress Code

All candidates should wear the following on June 4th (mock tryout) and June 5th (actual tryout):

• A plain black top (no bare midriff or spaghetti straps)

• Plain black shorts

• Hair pulled back in a mid pony

• White sneakers w/ white socks

• All jewelry/piercings removed

For Tryout Practices:

Candidates should wear clothes and shoes suitable for dance/movement/exercise. There should be no attire showing bare midriff or spaghetti strap tanks.

Tryouts FAQ

Q: Do I need to bring anything specific to tryouts?

A: Only the proper attire is needed for tryouts.

Q: Will I tryout alone?

A: Candidates will tryout in partners, which will be arranged in alphabetical order by last name. If there is an uneven number of candidates, we will have 1 group of 3.

Q: Who is judging tryouts?

A: Coach Charlesworth and Coach Preedy are scoring judges for tryouts. Mr. Dodge is a non-scoring judge.

Q: Are you taking a set number of cheerleaders?

A: No. The number of cheerleaders placed on the team is determined by the natural point break in scores.

Q: When and how will tryout results be posted?

A: Results will be posted the evening of tryouts. This information will be found here on the team website AND in the tryout Google Classroom.

Q: When will practices start?

A: Practices will start during the summer. A summer schedule will be determined after our first official team meeting, when cheerleaders will submit their summer work/vacation schedules.
